Deep scratches Healed in 2 days

I got scratched on one arm by a very friendly dog in her happiness to show me her love for the world.... anyway I had three scratches, two very long ones and one smaller one. Skin was broken and welts appeared- and it kinda hurt! I put the topical first aid gel on several times between that day and the next. By the evening all welts and redness were gone, just a pink line, and within 2 days the smaller one was gone and 3 days not a trace appeared of any of them!
